The whole purpose of this blog is to see if I can keep the ball of creativity rolling for my new project, the regents of Ultramar, the 1st Company. the idea is collect and paint a 1750 points army in time for the Octoberfest tournament in South London.
So, without further ado and pre-amble here are my first minis that I have done. These will form the basis of my first Sternguard unit, with another 5 marines to join them. This will be then first squad of 2, the other unit being a scratch built one from Tactical marines and upgrade sprues.
They were relatively simple and quick to paint:
- Dry brush Mordian blue over a Chaos Black undercoat
- Second drybrush of Enchanted Blue
- Third and final drybrush of Lightning Bolt Blue. This colour is unfortunately no longer available through GamesWorkshop, so I may have to see if Vallejo do a similar version...heres hoping!
